The RaccoonLab μNODE (Micro Node) controller is a versatile and adaptable general-purpose CAN converter designed primarily for CAN-PWM applications. It also offers additional capabilities with firmware ready for customization. This makes it suitable for a variety of applications, including receiving feedback from ESCs, reading sensors, and so on.

Micro Node has 2 groups of pins for a typical 5V servo (PWM+5V+GND). The node comes with a preloaded Cyphal/CAN application that converts typical PX4/Ardupilot commands (sp.Vector31, RawCommand, ArrayCommand) into PWM 50-400 Hz.

You can configure the external pins to work in UART or I2C mode.

Note that RaccoonLab Micro node ships with 1 pc JST 4-pin 0.17m cable. It comes with Cyphal firmware by default. If you want UAVCAN firmware, please add a note on the cart page.

  • For Cyphal applications using the nodes, a template open-source repository is offered for enthusiasts and developers. This resource is invaluable for those interested in developing custom firmware and exploring the full potential of the μNODE Controller.

    Micro node doesn't have its own DC-DC, so the entire load will go to the connected device. It is not recommended to apply a load greater than 1 A. It's recommended to use a RaccoonLab MiniNODE v2 if you need to power up a servo with higher current consumption.

    The default firmware has main (CAN-PWM) and auxiliary (TTL, ESC feedback, Circuit status, flight time recorder, etc) functions. The board has an internal LED indicator of the current status.
